Cult of Strife

The most celebrated of all Wych Cults, the Cult of Strife rules the great arenas of Commorragh where captives are butchered for the roaring delight of the Drukhari elite. Its warriors are peerless gladiators, and its supreme mistress is the deadliest blade-dancer the Dark City has ever produced. The Cult of Strife supplies the spectacle that Commorragh craves, and its favour is courted by Archons who wish to lend their raids the glamour and lethality of the arena.

Where the Kabals scheme for political dominion, the Wych Cults live for the perfection of murder as performance, and none embody this ideal more completely than the Cult of Strife. Masters of the bloody arena games that are among Commorragh's most cherished entertainments, the Cult's warriors have elevated close-quarters slaughter into a lethal art form watched by baying crowds of thousands.

The Wyches of the Cult of Strife are trained from a young age in a hundred forms of bladework, in the reading of an opponent's every muscle, and in the near-supernatural agility that lets them slip between hails of fire untouched. They fight for glory, for the adoration of the mob, and for the intoxicating rush of feeding on the terror of doomed prisoners. Their skill is such that other Kabals and Cults pay dearly to have Cult of Strife warriors accompany their raids, lending an edge of arena-honed savagery to any warhost.

The Cult is led by its most storied champion, whose beauty is matched only by her capacity for killing and who has never been bested in single combat. Under her direction the Cult of Strife has become both an institution of entertainment and a genuine military power, its fighters as at home reaping captives on a distant world as they are performing executions before the screaming galleries of the Dark City.
