The Beastmaster is a Drukhari huntsman who has traded the pursuit of slaves for the mastery of monsters, riding a bladed skyboard at the head of a menagerie dragged from the darkest reaches of the webway. With electro-lash and goad he drives his beasts into a frenzy, herding them toward the enemy as a mortal huntsman might loose a pack of hounds.
His charges are things of nightmare: shadowy khymerae, hulking clawed fiends, and flocks of razorwinged horrors, each held in check by nothing more than the Beastmaster's will and cruelty. He rides among them untouched, weaving through the carnage on his skyboard, snapping his lash to keep the pack driving forward and reserving the choicest kills for himself.
Among the Drukhari the Beastmasters are regarded as eccentrics, for they take their pleasure not in the direct infliction of suffering but in the artful conducting of it, orchestrating slaughter through their beasts like a maestro before a bloody symphony. To be run down by such a pack is to die knowing that one's terror was, to the rider above, merely another exquisite note.
