The Legion Fellblade was a super-heavy battle tank of the Great Crusade, a colossus of adamantium and ceramite whose massive accelerator cannon could shatter fortifications, gut super-heavy armour, and stagger even a walking war-engine. The Ultramarines, with the industrial might of Ultramar behind them, could field such rare and precious machines in greater numbers than most, and they wielded them as the deliberate hammer-blow at the centre of a combined-arms plan. A Fellblade did not act alone; it advanced amid a screen of Predators and infantry that guarded its flanks while its guns broke whatever the Legion most needed broken. Its secondary weapons scoured away infantry foolish enough to close, and its armour let it endure fire that would annihilate a lesser tank. To the methodical XIII, the Fellblade was the final argument of the armoured wing, held in reserve until the moment its overwhelming firepower would prove decisive.
