Servitors

Mindless cyborg drudges lobotomised into obedient tools of the Machine Cult.

Servitors are the silent, shuffling labour of the Imperium made flesh and iron, human beings, whether convicts, the brain-dead, or those simply deemed expendable, surgically lobotomised and rebuilt into obedient bio-mechanical drudges. Stripped of will, memory, and self, they respond only to simple command protocols, performing the endless menial and dangerous tasks that keep the machineries of the Adeptus Mechanicus and the wider Imperium running.

In battle, combat-servitors are fitted with heavy weapons or industrial tools and driven forward as expendable firepower, their aim steadied only by the direction of a nearby tech-priest, for left unsupervised their blunted minds soon drift into useless loops. Their existence is one of the quiet horrors of the age: a fate visited upon the condemned and the unlucky alike, a reminder that in the Machine God's domain a human being is worth less than the components grafted onto them. To the tech-priests, a servitor is neither person nor tragedy, merely a tool that walks, obeys, and is discarded when it breaks.
