Rangers are the legion's ranged specialists, trained and rebuilt to engage the foe at extreme distance. Their signature weapon, the galvanic rifle, hurls charged projectiles with devastating force across the battlefield, and their augmetic vision allows them to pick out targets that mortal eyes could never resolve.
Governed by doctrina imperatives broadcast from their commanders, Rangers fight with a cold, unwavering discipline. They are patient and methodical, laying down precise fire to whittle away enemy formations and eliminate priority targets. Many carry more exotic ranged weaponry, from transuranic arquebuses that punch through the heaviest armour to plasma weapons of ancient design.
Rangers are the watchful sentinels of the Skitarii legions, holding ground, screening advances, and delivering surgical firepower wherever it is needed. Beneath their hoods and cloaks, their faces are masks of augmetic apparatus, and their loyalty to the Omnissiah is absolute, hardwired into rebuilt minds that know neither fear nor doubt.
