The Medusan Immortals are the hardened heart of the Legion's line, veterans clad in the heaviest war-plate the clans can forge and schooled in the merciless traditions of their home world. On Medusa a warrior earned the name Immortal by refusing to die when death was owed, and these legionaries carry that grim pride into every battle, advancing behind boarding shields into fire no ordinary squad could weather. They are close-quarters specialists, breaking into fortifications and holding the breach with augmetic strength and a total indifference to their own survival. Where the wider Legion is cold, the Immortals are colder still, for each has looked upon the death he was spared and concluded that the flesh which failed him is worth nothing at all. To hold a line beside them is to hold it forever, or to die where you stand.
