Among the sorcerers of the Chaos Space Marines, the Master of Possession pursues a particularly terrible speciality. He is a conduit and a shepherd of daemons, learned in the rituals that draw entities from the warp and bind them into the bodies of mortals and the shells of war machines. To stand near him is to feel the immaterium press close, hungry and aware.
In battle, the Master of Possession works to weaken the barrier between the material universe and the warp, opening the way for daemonic reinforcements and lending his warp-craft to the possessed warriors who fight alongside him. He can strengthen these host-bodies, drawing greater and more violent entities into them, or unleash the raw power of the empyrean directly upon his foes.
He is a figure of dread even among his own kind, for the arts he practises are perilous and the beings he consorts with are treacherous beyond reckoning. Yet a warband that fields a Master of Possession gains a fearsome advantage: the ability to turn a battlefield into a gateway, filling it with the shrieking horrors of the warp.
