The Possessed are Traitor Marines who have surrendered their bodies to the daemons of the warp, becoming vessels for the immaterial horrors that hunger for physical form. In this dark communion, mortal and daemon meld into a single monstrous whole, warping the warrior's flesh into a shifting nightmare of claws, horns, tentacles and gnashing maws.
No two of the Possessed are alike, for the daemon within reshapes its host according to its own alien whims. Some sprout wings of ragged shadow, others armour that weeps like flesh, still others limbs that end in razored talons able to rend tanks asunder. Empowered by the daemon's unnatural strength and speed, they tear through the foe with gleeful, otherworldly savagery.
Held in awe and terror even by their own kind, the Possessed are living relics of damnation within the ranks of the Chaos Space Marines. They are proof of the ultimate bargain a warrior of the Long War may strike, offering up body and soul so that a daemon might walk the material realm and slaughter in its master's name.
