The K'daai Fireborn are lesser fire-daemons of Hashut, bound by the Sorcerer-Prophets into cages of enchanted iron and driven to war as living furnaces. Each is a towering figure of blazing bronze and flame, its body wracked with fire that never dies, radiating a heat that scorches the earth and ignites all around it long before its burning claws ever land.
They are as dangerous to control as they are to face. A K'daai strains constantly against its bindings, and the daemon within will consume its own iron shell in time, burning ever brighter and wilder until nothing remains — so the dawi-zharr loose them late and expect to lose them. While they last, few things are more terrible. The Fireborn stride through shield-walls wreathed in flame, setting warriors alight with a touch and shrugging off blows that would fell a monster, for what weapon truly wounds living fire? They are Hashut's wrath made manifest, and they burn for exactly as long as the god's anger holds them together.
