Death Rocket

A crude, temperamental rocket that screams over the front ranks to burst amid the foe in flame and razor shrapnel — when it works at all.

The Death Rocket is a crude and temperamental engine of destruction, a great iron tube packed with volatile powder and a warhead of the Chaos Dwarfs' own devising, aimed more in hope than in expectation. When it works, it works terribly: the rocket screams into the sky on a tail of fire and smoke, arcs over the heads of the front ranks, and plunges down amid the enemy to burst in a roar of flame and razor shrapnel that scatters whole regiments. When it fails — as it often does — it may fall short, veer wildly, or explode upon its own crew, but the Dawi Zharr count such losses a small price for the terror the weapon sows. Hobgoblin slaves are set to the perilous labour of loading and lighting it, their lives held cheaper than the powder they handle. Unpredictable and merciless, the Death Rocket rains fiery ruin from afar.
