Drazhoath the Ashen is Sorcerer-Prophet and lord of Gash Kadrak, the Black Fortress of the western Dark Lands, and master of its great war-host, the Legion of Azgorh. Ambitious, embittered, and consumed by grudges real and imagined, he has spent years exiled to that grim outpost by the politics of Zharr-Naggrund, and means to conquer his way back into the reckoning whatever the cost in slaves and fire.
He rides to war upon Cinderbreath, a great fire-belching bull whose hooves scorch the earth, and wields the flame of Hashut with a fury that has burned his own flesh grey and ashen — the mark of a priest who spends his god-given power recklessly and cares nothing for the doom it hastens. Where Astragoth hoards his strength to prolong his life, Drazhoath spends his like a spendthrift heir, gambling that he will seize an empire before the stone can climb past his knees.
Under his banner the Legion has marched into wars beyond the empire's borders, casting the shadow of Hashut's black bull over lands that never knew the dawi-zharr existed until their sky filled with smoke. He cares little for the doctrine of the Temple and less for the schemes of his rivals; he wants only what he has always wanted — to be feared, obeyed, and remembered — and he will burn the world to ash to have it.
