The Lammasu is a creature of sorcery given flesh, a winged and horned beast with the scaled body of a great cat, the leering face of a bearded idol, and a mane of writhing tendrils that drink in the winds of magic. Where the Great Taurus is a thing of fire, the Lammasu is a thing of the mind, exhaling a choking sorcerous fog that smothers hostile spells and shields its rider from the retribution of enemy wizards. For this reason the sorcerer-prophets of the Chaos Dwarfs prize it above all other steeds, riding it aloft to rain destructive magic upon the foe while cocooned in a veil of protective mist. Cunning and malevolent, a Lammasu is no dumb beast but a scheming thing that suffers its rider only so long as the arrangement profits it. Together, sorcerer and Lammasu form a floating engine of dark magic that few armies can hope to silence.
