The Mangler Squigs are a whirling catastrophe of teeth and iron, a pair of enormous cave squigs chained together and goaded into a frenzy until they become an unstoppable engine of destruction. The wretched grot handlers meant to control them are long past any hope of doing so, and merely cling to the chains, swung about like rag dolls and used as improvised flails as the squigs go careening across the battlefield. Nothing about a Mangler is controllable; it simply barrels forward in a bouncing, rampaging mass, crushing warriors underfoot, snapping others in half with cavernous jaws, and battering anything the squigs miss with the flailing bodies of their own handlers. When at last a Mangler is brought down, the pent-up madness within often bursts free in a final explosive lurch. To the Gloomspite Gitz these creatures are equal parts weapon and omen, a living avalanche of squig-flesh that even the grots who unleash it regard with a mixture of glee and stark terror.
