The Mangler Squigs are enormous, ball-shaped monsters of gnashing teeth and manic energy, among the most chaotic and destructive creatures fielded by the gloomspite-gitz. A Mangler is essentially a pair of gigantic squigs chained together, driven into a frenzy and hurled at the enemy, bouncing and rolling across the battlefield in an unstoppable rampage of biting mayhem.
A handful of reckless grots, known as Squig Herders, cling desperately to the chains that bind the beasts, though they exert little real control. Once a Mangler Squig is unleashed, it careens wildly wherever its appetite and rage take it, crushing and devouring friend and foe alike. When one is finally slain it does not die quietly, instead exploding in a shower of gore and flailing limbs that scatters anyone nearby.
The Gloomspite Gitz delight in the sheer destructive chaos of the Mangler Squigs, viewing their unpredictable carnage as a sign of the Bad Moon's favour. To deploy one is to gamble that its rampage will do more harm to the enemy than to one's own lines, a wager that captures the reckless, anarchic spirit of the grots perfectly.
