Zarbag

Zarbag is a Madcap Shaman of the Gloomspite Gitz, a wild-eyed, twitching grot so steeped in hallucinogenic spores that the line between prophecy and delirium has long since dissolved. Where other grots merely fear the Bad Moon, Zarbag claims to hear it whispering, and he reads dark omens in the drifting clouds of fungal dust that follow him everywhere. In battle he channels the malignant magic of the Gloomspite, conjuring swarms of choking spores and withering rot that blister flesh and corrode armour, and calling down the maddening influence of the moon upon the enemy's mind. He is attended by a rabble of grot minions and squigs — his infamous band of gitz — who scuttle and skulk at his command, dying in droves to keep their unpredictable master alive. Half-mad and wholly dangerous, Zarbag is trusted by his fellow grots precisely because his ravings so often come true, and feared for exactly the same reason. When he begins to giggle and point, wise grots take cover, for the Madcap Prophet has seen something coming.
