The Dankhold Troggoth is one of the mightiest of all troggkind, a colossal cave-dweller roused from centuries of fungal slumber by the light of the Bad Moon and the coaxing of the Gloomspite Gitz. Where lesser troggoths are wretched and pitiful, the Dankhold is a slab-muscled titan, its warty hide encrusted with luminous fungus and possessed of a strange resistance to sorcery, so that hostile spells slough harmlessly from its glowering bulk. It wields a massive stone club or simply an uprooted boulder, laying about itself with ponderous, bone-shattering swings that scatter warriors like skittles. Slow to wake and slower still to anger, once provoked a Dankhold Troggoth becomes a force of primal destruction, and its regenerating flesh shrugs off wounds that would slay any mortal thing thrice over. The grots treat these behemoths with wary reverence, luring them from their caverns with promises of food and darkness, for a single Dankhold in a foul enough mood can win a battle on its own.
