The Exalted Sorcerers stand near the pinnacle of the Thousand Sons' hierarchy, warriors who have survived ten thousand years of scheming and slaughter to become masters of the sorcerous arts. Each has clawed his way upward through mastery of forbidden lore, the destruction of rivals, and the patient accumulation of power, for in a Legion of ambitious mages, advancement is a bloody and treacherous affair.
In battle an Exalted Sorcerer is a devastating presence. He channels the raw energies of the immaterium into storms of change-fire and bolts of unmaking, shatters the minds of the enemy, and calls upon the daemons of Tzeentch to fight at his side. Many ride to war upon a Disc of Tzeentch, a cackling daemon-construct that grants them swift and unpredictable movement, allowing them to strike where least expected and withdraw before retaliation can fall.
Beyond his martial power, an Exalted Sorcerer is a commander and schemer, directing the Rubricae and lesser adepts of his cohort with cold precision and weaving his battles into the greater designs of the Legion.
