The Ruinous Powers

Tzeentch

The Changer of Ways and Architect of Fate, a god of boundless ambition and sorcery who weaves ten thousand schemes within schemes across the galaxy

Tzeentch is the Changer of the Ways, the Great Conspirator, the Master of Fate and Lord of Sorcery. Of all the Ruinous Powers he is the most cunning, a being woven from mortal ambition, hope, and the ceaseless desire for change. No plot in the galaxy is too vast or too small for his attention, and every scheme he sets in motion conceals a thousand others, spiralling outward until even he may not know their end.

Where the Blood God despises magic, Tzeentch is its very wellspring, and the raw stuff of the warp bends to his whispered lies. He hoards knowledge as a miser hoards coin, doling out forbidden secrets to those foolish enough to bargain, always at a price paid in the currency of the soul. His sacred number is nine, and his daemons — capering Pink Horrors and sorcerous Lords of Change — dance through realities like flame through parchment.

His greatest mortal servants are the Thousand Sons, the crimson-armoured Legion of Magnus the Red, whose mastery of sorcery damned them to his service and whose bodies were reduced to dust animated by will alone. Tzeentch desires change for its own sake, and in the grand irony that defines him, his endless machinations to reshape all things ensure that the great game is never won — for were he ever to triumph, change itself would end, and with it, the Architect of Fate.
