Of all the heavy armour available to the Great Crusade, few patterns suited the Raven Guard's swift and slashing way of war like the Legion Sicaran Battle Tank. Faster than any main battle tank of its weight, it could keep pace with the XIX Legion's fluid advances rather than lagging behind as slower armour did, its twin accelerator autocannon spitting hyper-velocity rounds that tore through vehicle flanks and pinned enemy infantry in place. The Raven Guard rarely fought the set-piece armoured duels other Legions relished; instead they used the Sicaran as a swift executioner, racing it to a threatened point, breaking an enemy counterthrust, and withdrawing before the foe could mass against it. Its advanced targeting cogitators let it hunt fast-moving prey that eluded lesser guns, making it the ideal shepherd for a raiding column. When a strike force had struck its blow and turned for the shadows, it was often the Sicaran that covered the withdrawal, guns barking as the raiders melted away.
