The Mor Deythan, the 'Shadowed Ones,' were the most secretive and lethal warriors of the XIX Legion, veterans who had mastered Corax's arts of stealth so completely that they seemed able to bend darkness itself around them. Legend within the Legion held that these warriors could pass unseen through open ground and strike from shadows that should not have concealed them, a gift some attributed to the primarch's own quickening touch upon Deliverance. Whether preternatural or merely the product of relentless discipline, the effect was the same: the Mor Deythan appeared where no enemy expected them, unleashed a single devastating volley into an unguarded flank or command group, and melted away before retaliation could fall. Corax reserved them for the missions that would decide a campaign, the decapitation strike, the theft of vital intelligence, the murder of a warlord in his own halls. After Isstvan V, the surviving Mor Deythan became the sharpened edge of the Legion's vengeance, striking at the traitors from the dark again and again.
