Agapito Nev commanded the Talons, the swift assault echelons that were the striking edge of the XIX Legion, and he led them with a fire that his more measured brother Branne tempered but never quite matched. Where Branne was the anchor, Agapito was the blade, passionate, headlong, and utterly devoted to his primarch, a commander who led from the front of every assault and expected his warriors to keep pace with his fury. Corax valued that ardour, for the Talons needed a leader whose will burned as hotly as the raids they carried out.

Isstvan V marked Agapito as it marked every survivor of the Drop Site Massacre, and the horror of that day left scars upon his spirit that never fully healed. He came away from the killing ground consumed by a grief that curdled easily toward wrath, and in the vengeance-war that followed he threw himself and his Talons against the traitors with a ferocity that sometimes worried even his primarch. Yet for all the darkness the massacre had put in him, Agapito remained loyal to the last, a wounded warrior who channelled his anguish into the destruction of those who had betrayed the Emperor and butchered his brothers.
