The Contemptor-Achillus Dreadnought is the Legio Custodes' pattern of close-assault war-walker, built lower and swifter than the ponderous engines of the Space Marine Legions and configured for the brutal work of the charge. Its principal armament is the Achillus dreadspear, a colossal power weapon that can gut a tank or fell a monster in a single sweeping blow.
Deployed to spearhead the Custodian advance, the Achillus strides into the thickest fighting where its reach and momentum tell most, smashing aside anything foolish enough to stand in the path of the Emperor's guardians. Like all Custodian war-gear it is a work of consummate artifice, and the warrior sealed within retains far more of his old speed and instinct than the dreaming ancients of other orders.
