The Warhound Scout Titan was the smallest and swiftest of the god-engines, yet no less deadly for its size, a lithe hunter loosed to range ahead of the battle-line and run down the enemy's flanks. Where the greater Titans advanced with ponderous majesty, the Warhound loped across the battlefield on birdlike legs, using its speed to outmanoeuvre foes that could not bring their heavier weapons to bear in time. It hunted in pairs, two engines coursing together like wolves, and its armament of vulcan mega-bolter, plasma blastgun, or inferno cannon could shred infantry, gut light vehicles, and harry even a battle Titan from an unguarded angle. Its Princeps were a breed apart, bold and quick-thinking, for the Warhound lived and died by aggression and could not survive a straight duel with a larger engine. In the hunt, however, it was without peer, the swift claw that found the foe and pinned him for the killing blow.
