A Questoris Knight Banner was a formation of allied Knights that marched to war alongside the god-engines of a Titan Legion, their towering war-suits dwarfed by the Titans yet no less vital to victory. Bound to the Collegia Titanica by ancient pacts of mutual obligation, the Knight Houses lent their scions to screen the great engines, hunting the enemy armour and infantry that might slip beneath a Titan's guns to assail its legs and joints. Where a Titan was a walking fortress, a Knight was a swift champion, and a banner could range across the field to guard the flanks of their colossal allies and run down foes too quick for the god-engines to trouble with. In the Heresy, Knight Banners marched with both loyalist and traitor Legios, their fortunes bound to those of the Titans they served. To the enemies of a Titan Legion, the Knights were the lesser but ever-present threat, the guardians who ensured no foe came close enough to trouble the god-machines they escorted.
