Vharn Kadex

Vharn Kadex was among the most feared Princeps of the Legio Mortis, a traitor commander whose bond with his bone-white Warlord Titan had curdled into something dark and terrible over the long years of the Heresy. Where once he had been a Princeps of the Collegia Titanica like any other, Kadex embraced the corruption that seeped into the traitor Legios as their machine-spirits soured, and he came to revel in the annihilation his god-engine wrought. He drove his Warlord with a cold, remorseless will, treating the destruction of worlds and the toppling of loyalist Titans as sacred work owed to the Warmaster and to the dark powers Mortis had come to serve.

Bonded so deeply to his engine that the two seemed a single malevolent being, Kadex was a duellist of god-machines without peer among his Legio, patient and merciless, waiting for the flaw in an enemy's defence before delivering the killing salvo. At Beta-Garmon he added many loyalist engines to his tally, each kill marked upon his Titan's scarred carapace like a hunter's trophy. The Bone Tyrant, his enemies named him, and those who survived an encounter with his engine spoke of a machine that seemed to hunt with a cruel and patient intelligence, an avatar of death striding through the ruin its master so gladly made.
