The Foetid Bloat-drone is one of the Death Guard's more unnatural creations, a daemon engine in which corrupted technology and the essence of a bound daemon have grown together into a single loathsome whole. Grossly distended and buoyed by internal gases and warp-power, it hovers above the ground on droning turbines, its swollen body wobbling obscenely as it advances.
Its buoyancy grants it a mobility rare among the ponderous forces of the Legion, letting it drift over ruins, mire, and the choking filth of a Nurgle battlefield to reach targets other war-engines cannot. Where it goes it trails clouds of disease, the air behind it thick with spores and corruption. It exists to bring both firepower and contagion into the thick of the fighting, harrying enemy lines and pursuing broken foes with grim persistence.
Bloat-drones are armed for the task in various loathsome configurations: corrosive spewing weapons that dissolve armour and flesh alike, rapid-firing guns that hose the enemy with fire, and heavy fleshy blades for tearing apart anything that comes within reach. Neither fully machine nor fully daemon, the Foetid Bloat-drone is a droning harbinger of decay, and one of the few Death Guard assets capable of striking swiftly.
