The Shadow Warriors are the bitter survivors of Nagarythe, the shadow-land whose people were sundered when the traitor-prince Malekith and his followers turned to darkness and became the dark elves. Those who remained loyal to Ulthuan yet cannot forget their kin's betrayal, and they wage a lifelong, vengeful war from the shadows against the dark elves and all enemies of the realm. Masters of stealth and ambush, they move unseen across any terrain, cloaked and silent, striking from cover with deadly accuracy before melting away into darkness. Each is a peerless archer and a capable blade, trained to fight alone or in small, deadly bands where no army could ever pass. There is no joy in them, only cold purpose; they have seen their homeland fall and their people divided, and they mean to make the guilty pay in full. Where the Shadow Warriors stalk, the enemy's scouts do not return, sentries vanish without a cry, and the first sign of the elves' presence is often an arrow already in flight from an archer who is no longer there.
