Larger and more resolute than their kin, they form living bulwarks around the floating thrones of their masters, their scaled hides and heavy shields turning aside blows that would fell lesser reptiles. Each bears a celestite polearm, and they wield these weapons with a cold, drilled precision, striking as one to skewer any foe rash enough to approach the slann. Utterly without fear and immune to the doubts that plague warmer-blooded soldiers, the Saurus Guard will hold their ground against impossible odds, dying in their ranks before yielding a single step. Their loyalty is not born of choice but of purpose, woven into their very being at the moment of spawning. When the slann work their world-shaping magics, it is behind an unbreakable wall of Saurus Guard that they do so, and countless enemies have broken upon that wall in vain.
