The Legion Storm Eagle Gunship gave the Sixth Legion the one thing a wolf most desires, the chance to fall upon its prey before the prey can run. Larger and deadlier than the lesser gunships of the age, the Storm Eagle came down on screaming engines with a hold full of storm-grey warriors, scouring a landing zone with its guns and disgorging a pack straight into the enemy's throat. The Vlka Fenryka flew them hard and low, crewing them with pilots who thought like hunters, and used them to leap across broken ground and shattered lines that would have slowed an armoured advance to a crawl. To the defenders of a besieged world the sight of a Storm Eagle breaking the clouds was the last warning they would receive. In the Heresy the gunships carried the Rout's fury wherever the traitors imagined themselves beyond its reach.
