The Nexos is the cult's master planner, a third-generation hybrid created to serve as the central nervous system of an uprising that may span an entire world. Where the Primus is the general who leads from the front, the Nexos is the field marshal in the shadows, an organiser of staggering capacity who can direct thousands, even millions, of indoctrinated souls with each carefully coded transmission.
To fashion such a creature, the Patriarch imbues it with a fraction of its own vast cerebral might, and the result is an intellect that operates on a scale no unaltered mind could bear. A Nexos can reach into the shared Broodmind and absorb the memories and perceptions of any cultist within it, drinking in a whole planet's worth of eyes and ears, and it weaves that flood of data into a single coherent picture of the war as it unfolds.
From that god's-eye vantage the Nexos reads the flow of battle with pitiless clarity, identifying the enemy's vulnerabilities the instant they appear and shifting the cult's forces to exploit them before the foe even realises the opening exists. It rarely dirties its own hands with fighting; its weapon is coordination itself, the terrible efficiency of a rebellion that always seems to know exactly where and when to strike.
