The Goliath Rockgrinder is a machine of the deep mines turned to slaughter, the most common variant of the ubiquitous Goliath mining vehicle found labouring across the Imperium. Built to an ancient template to withstand rockfalls, dam-bursts and the fiery backwash of its own clearance incinerator, it is a compact fortress on tracks, and the cultists riding within its armoured belly are shielded from all but the heaviest of weapons.
At the Rockgrinder's prow sits its defining feature, a massive drilldozer blade fitted with grinding arrays powerful enough to crack open mineral seams and bore fresh tunnels through solid bedrock. In the hidden years before the uprising, this is honest industrial labour, the vehicle a familiar and unremarkable sight in any mining hub. When the day of reckoning arrives, that same tool is turned to a far more sinister purpose.
In battle the Rockgrinder simply drives headlong into the densest knot of the enemy, its saw-toothed blade shrieking as it grinds flesh and bone into a red paste and flings the ruined mass aside. Between its grinding blade, its heavy mining weapons and the fanatical warriors it disgorges into the breach, a single Rockgrinder can shatter an enemy line and drive the cult's fury deep into the heart of the foe.
