When a Custodian's body is broken beyond even the miraculous arts of the Ten Thousand, but his will and spirit remain unbowed, he may be interred within a Telemon Heavy Dreadnought and granted a second span of service to the Master of Mankind. These war-engines are the most advanced dreadnoughts in the Imperium, their every system a masterwork far beyond the ancient hulls that carry the fallen of the Space Marine Chapters, and each houses a warrior whose deeds in life earned him this honoured and terrible afterlife.
The Telemon towers over the battlefield, its frame clad in layered ceramite and adamantine chased with gold, proof against firepower that would fell a battle tank. In one great fist it bears the Telemon caestus, a crushing weapon that can shatter armour and pulp monsters, while its ranged armaments range from the roaring arachnus storm cannon to plasma projectors and spiculus bolt launchers, each capable of scouring away swathes of the enemy. Few foes can stand before such a union of resilience and firepower.
Because the Custodes are so few and each Telemon so precious, these dreadnoughts are committed only to the gravest of wars, their awakening a solemn matter reserved for moments of dire need. When one strides forth, it is a sign that the Emperor's guardians consider the threat before them worthy of one of their most revered relics, and the enemy so honoured seldom survives the attention.
