The Agamatus are among the most storied of the Custodian aerial cadres, warriors who ride to war upon powerful grav-bikes far heavier and deadlier than the swift patrol craft of the Vertus Praetors. Suspended upon anti-gravitic fields, these machines skim above terrain and wreckage alike at tremendous speed, granting their riders the reach to strike anywhere upon the field and the momentum to be gone before the enemy can answer.
Each Agamatus jetbike is a mobile weapons platform of formidable power. Some are armed with paired lastrum bolt cannons that scythe down infantry and light vehicles in a torrent of mass-reactive fire, while others mount adrathic devastators whose disintegrating beams reduce even heavy armour to slag. Coupled with the Custodian's flawless marksmanship, such firepower makes the Agamatus lethal to the enemy's most valued war-engines.
On the battlefield the Agamatus act as hunters and outriders, sweeping wide to fall upon the flanks and rear of the foe, running down what flees and destroying what stands. They dictate the pace of an engagement, forever repositioning to bring their guns to bear where they are least expected. Against them, an enemy has no safe flank and no clear line of retreat, only the certainty that the golden riders will find them wherever they turn.
