The Skeleton Archers of Nehekhara stand in silent ranks exactly as they stood in life, bows raised, waiting for a command that death has not excused them from obeying. In the great necropolises the bowmen of the old legions were interred with their weapons, and when the Liche Priests raise them, they draw and loose with the same disciplined precision that made Nehekhara's armies feared across the ancient world. They feel neither fatigue nor fear, and so they shoot without pause and without flinching, entire regiments loosing as one at the priests' incantation, blackening the sky with arrows that fall in tireless sheets. What they have lost in the sharp eyes of the living, they make up in relentlessness and in the eerie guidance of the death-magic that animates them. An enemy advancing on a Tomb Kings line must cross ground swept by this endless rain, every volley identical to the last, loosed by dead hands that will still be drawing when the sun sets and rises again.
