The Ripperdactyl Riders are skink braves who ride to war upon ripperdactyls, savage flying reptiles far more vicious than the noble terradons of the same jungles. Where terradons are swift and cunning, ripperdactyls are voracious killers, driven into a blood-frenzy by the sight of prey and near-impossible to control once the feeding-madness takes them. Their skink riders goad them over the battlefield and loose them upon the enemy, whereupon the beasts plummet from the sky, hooked claws and gore-slick beaks tearing warriors apart in a storm of feathers and blood. The skinks lash their mounts toward the largest foes, for a ripperdactyl's frenzy only deepens as the slaughter mounts. Unpredictable and difficult to master, a flight of Ripperdactyl Riders is a weapon aimed more than commanded, but where it strikes it leaves ruin, the enemy line torn open from above before the reptiles wheel away, screeching, in search of fresh meat.
