Lord Mazdamundi is the most powerful of all the living slann, the master of Hexoatl and, since the passing of the eldest of the mage-priests, the closest thing the Lizardmen have to a supreme will. Where most slann brood in centuries-long contemplation, Mazdamundi acts, and his interventions in the world are written in geography. It is said that when he judged an island to be a flaw in the Plan he raised the seas and drowned it; that he has shifted the courses of rivers, toppled mountains, and turned back invasions with a thought. Few powers in the world can stand against the fury of his magic once it is roused.
He goes to war astride an ancient stegadon of immense size, borne above the fray where he can survey the battle as a scholar surveys a page, reshaping it with elemental sorcery — earthquakes, floods, and burning light called down upon the enemies of the Old Ones. Mazdamundi has little patience for the younger races and less mercy; to him men and elves and dwarfs are latecomers scrawling their squabbles across a design he was set to preserve before their ancestors had names. When he stirs from Hexoatl, whole kingdoms have learned to fear the tread of the Lizardmen.
