The Phoenix Guard are the silent, immortal-seeming warriors of the High Elf Realms, the sacred wardens of the Shrine of Asuryan upon the isle of the Flamespyre. Bound by a mystical oath of silence, they never speak, for within the shrine they have glimpsed the manner of their own deaths and are forbidden to utter what they have seen.
Clad in shimmering armour and bearing tall halberds, the Phoenix Guard march to war with an eerie, unbreakable calm. Knowing their fate, they neither fear death nor flinch from it, making them among the most steadfast and disciplined soldiers in all of Ulthuan.
They answer to the Phoenix King and guard the holiest fire of Asuryan, the flame through which each new king must pass. To behold the Phoenix Guard in battle is to witness a wall of silent, gleaming resolve that no foe has ever broken.
