Branchwych

A slender spirit-sorceress bound to a single glade, reaping the enemy with her greenwood scythe and the songs of the forest.

The Branchwych is a spellcaster and huntress of the Sylvaneth, a spirit grown from the same seed as the glade she serves and bound to its fate for as long as she endures. Slender and swift, she carries a greenwood scythe with which she harvests both foes and the deadwood the forest must shed to thrive. The Branchwych is attuned to the whispering song of the wyldwoods, able to draw upon their magic to entangle enemies in grasping roots or to call the fury of the forest down upon them. She acts as a lieutenant to the greater spirits, tending the health of her glade and leading its lesser folk in war. When roused to anger she is a blur of flashing blade and lashing bramble, striking from the cover of the trees before melting back among them. Should her glade be threatened, the Branchwych fights with a desperate, elemental ferocity, for its death would be her own, and she will spend the enemy's lives without limit to see it preserved.
