A warplock jezzail is a rifle grown to absurd length, firing warpstone bullets that punch through plate, tower shields, and the occupants of both. Its two-rat teams — one to aim, one to brace the great pavise the pair hides behind — settle onto ridgelines far from the fighting and methodically delete enemy champions, engineers, and anyone else foolish enough to look important.
Jezzail crews are recruited from skaven with steady paws and a keen instinct for self-preservation, which in the under-empire amounts to the same talent. Distance, to a jezzail gunner, is what courage is to other races: there is no bravery like a quarter-mile of open ground, and no prayer like a full pouch of glowing green ammunition.
