The Mortisan Soulreaper is the martial arm of the Mortisan orders, a soul-harvester who does his gathering not from behind the lines but amid the slaughter itself. Armed with a great soulcleaver scythe of nadirite, he strides into the thickest fighting and reaps, each killing stroke tearing a spirit loose at the very instant of death so that no scrap of usable essence is wasted. The souls he claims fuel his own dark artistry, lending him the strength to shatter armour and the will to bind fresh energy into the constructs at his side. Where the Boneshaper mends and the Soulmason presides, the Soulreaper kills, and revels in the efficiency of it. To the legions of the Ossiarch Bonereapers he is both priest and executioner, harvesting the battlefield with the unhurried thoroughness of a reaper walking a ripe field of grain.
