Arch-Kavalos Zandtos

Arch-Kavalos Zandtos, called the Dark Lance, is the foremost cavalry commander of the Ossiarch Bonereapers and among the most hateful of all Nagash's servants. Where other Ossiarchs regard the living with cold indifference, Zandtos holds them in genuine contempt, viewing every mortal life as a debt long overdue and every breath as an insult to the good order of death. He rides at the head of the Kavalos Deathriders upon his dread steed Nightmarch, lance levelled, seeking out the enemy's champions and warlords that he might personally end them. Grim and joyless even by the standards of the deathless, he keeps a tally of every foe he has unhorsed and every stronghold he has ridden down, adding each to a ledger of grievances against the living that can never be settled. In battle his presence steels the constructs around him to a harder purpose, and his charges are aimed like a spearthrust at the heart of the foe. To face Zandtos is to be judged, condemned, and collected in a single thunderous pass.
