The Kavalos Lancers are the shock cavalry of the Ossiarch Bonereapers, constructs of horse and rider fused into one deathless instrument of the charge. Where the Deathriders skirmish and pursue, the Lancers exist for a single perfect moment: the impact. Levelling nadirite lances tipped to punch through shield and breastplate alike, they advance at a measured trot that swells into a thunderous gallop, every steed matching stride to its neighbour so that the line strikes as one unbroken wall of bone. The souls within them were cavalrymen once — lancers, knights, and steppe-riders whose skill outlived their kingdoms — distilled down to timing and nerve. They feel no fear of massed spears, no hesitation before a braced line, and so they drive home charges no living horse would attempt. When the Lancers hit, formations buckle and break, and the phalanxes behind them march into the ruin they have made.
