The Legion Leviathan Dreadnought was a rare and monstrous siege-engine, broader and more heavily armoured than any common Dreadnought, mounting weapons that could level fortifications and annihilate whole squads at a stroke. Such war-engines were coveted relics even among the Legions, and the Thousand Sons interred within them adepts whose knowledge was too valuable to surrender to death. Advancing at a ponderous, implacable pace behind storm cannon and grav-flux bombard, a Leviathan was a walking bastion, drawing the enemy's heaviest fire onto its adamantine hull while the Legion's cabals worked their sorceries unmolested. To a Legion that guarded its dwindling numbers jealously, the Leviathan offered a way to hold a line that would otherwise demand a hundred warriors. When Tizca burned, these ancients laboured at the heart of the defence, their guns felling Space Wolves by the score even as the city fell around the minds within them.
