Among the most coveted war-relics of the Great Crusade, the Legion Leviathan Dreadnought was a squat, monstrous siege-breaker whose armour and firepower dwarfed even the Contemptor's, and the Salamanders prized the few they possessed above almost any treasure in their armoury. Encased in phalanx-thick plating and bearing grav-flux bombards, siege drills, and storm cannon, the interred ancient within could walk unflinching through a killing storm that would gut a battle-tank and tear open the strongest gate by main strength. To the XVIII, whose creed made every warrior a smith and every relic a sacrament, the Leviathan was the perfect expression of resilient, purposeful violence: a walking fortress that broke tyrants' strongholds so the helpless might be freed from within. Its Nocturnean keepers adorned it with votive flame and drake-scale and roused it only for the direst hours, when the survival of a shattered Legion, or the lives it guarded, hung upon a single unbreakable warrior.
