The artificers of Nocturne tended each Deredeo as both weapon and reliquary, honouring the venerable mind within as an elder whose wisdom guided every shot. In the war-torn years after Isstvan V, when the XVIII counted their every survivor, these ancients became irreplaceable guardians of a Legion that refused to die.
