The Deathbringer

Holguin

The Horus Heresy

Chosen by his fellow veterans to lead the Deathwing's Terminator elite, a bulwark of ceramite at the heart of the Legion's fiercest fighting.

Holguin held the honoured station of Voted-Lieutenant of the Deathwing, chosen by his fellow veterans to lead the First Legion's Terminator elite into the fiercest fighting the Heresy could offer. His was a rank earned not by birth or appointment but by the acclamation of the Deathwing's own warriors, and he wore it with the grim pride of a man who knew precisely how much blood the honour had cost.

Encased in ancient Cataphractii plate and wielding a blade that had drunk deep across a hundred worlds, Holguin fought at the very heart of the Legion's most brutal engagements, wherever the Deathwing's unbreakable line was needed most. During the Thramas Crusade against the Night Lords he stood among the Lion's closest guardians, a bulwark of ceramite and cold resolve when the void war turned to boarding actions and corridor slaughter. Legionaries spoke of him as the Deathbringer, for where Holguin and his Companions advanced, the enemy's chance of survival simply ended. He embodied everything the Deathwing was meant to be: silent, immovable, and utterly without fear.
