Aurelia Sable

Aurelia Sable rose to command the Boreal Cohort through a mastery of the most lethal warfare the galaxy offered: the airless siege and the boarding action fought in vacuum and killing cold. Raised on a frozen void-station where a single mistake meant death by the void itself, Sable brought to war a chilling calm and a genius for the three-dimensional battle among the stars that few commanders, mortal or transhuman, could equal. She thought in terms of pressure hulls and severed corridors, of the precise application of force to crack an enemy stronghold from within.

Through the Heresy she held loyal to the Emperor, and her cohort's grim expertise made her invaluable in a war fought as much among the stars as upon the ground. Where a rebel-held void station or captured warship had to be stormed and cleansed compartment by bloody compartment, it was often Sable's Boreal that were sent to do it. She led her boarding parties in person, sealed in her own scarred void-plate, directing the slaughter through the wreck of an enemy vessel with the same composure she showed on the parade ground. To the traitors who faced her, the Mistress of the Void War was a patient death that came through the airlocks with the cold, and left nothing living behind.
