Plagueclaw Catapult

Clan Pestilens' engine of contagion, flinging festering payloads of diseased filth that leave whole regiments retching and rotting.

The Plagueclaw Catapult is Clan Pestilens' engine of contagion, a towering, ramshackle catapult that flings festering payloads of rotten filth over the heads of the swarming ranks. Its ammunition is a seething mass of diseased offal, plague-ridden corpses, and the vile brewings of the plague-priests, hurled high to burst upon the enemy in a splattering rain of pestilence. Warriors struck by this foulness sicken and die not from the impact but from the plagues it carries, and whole regiments can be left retching, blistered, and rotting where they stand. The chanting Plague Monks who crank and load the contraption regard their own inevitable infection as a blessing from the Horned Rat, and tend the reeking engine with loving devotion. Slow, stinking, and utterly abhorrent, the Plagueclaw spreads death by disease across the battlefield, softening the foe with sickness before the monks themselves charge gleefully into the dying.
