Sigmarite Firearm

Boltstorm Pistol

A repeating sigmarite hand-cannon that spits a storm of celestial bolts, the boltstorm pistol lets Sigmar's warriors scour the foe before the charge is joined.

Not every war in the Mortal Realms is won at the point of a hammer. For those Stormcast Eternals who fight as skirmishers and outriders, the Boltstorm Pistol provides a storm of ranged death to break the foe before the lines even meet. Compact enough to be wielded in a single hand, often in matched pairs or alongside a blade, it is a masterwork of Azyrite gunsmithing, every part graven with wards against jamming and misfire.

The pistol does not loose a single shot but a rattling salvo of celestial bolts, each a shard of caged lightning that punches through armour and leaves the smell of ozone in its wake. Loaded with sigmarite shot and quickened by the same heavenly power that animates its bearer, a single Stormcast can put down a charging beast or scatter a knot of cultists in the space of a heartbeat. The Vanguard chambers favour the weapon above all others, using its withering fire to soften a target before falling upon whatever survives.

In the disciplined hands of Sigmar's warriors, the boltstorm pistol is far more than a mere sidearm. Massed volleys from a formation of Hunters can strip the momentum from an enemy advance, while a lone Knight-Incantor might empty both pistols into a daemon's heart even as she chants the spells that will banish it back into the void. It is a weapon of the storm made manifest, swift and unrelenting, gone in a flash of blue-white fury and leaving only smoking ruin where the enemy had stood.
