Every horde of the Bloodbound rolls forward on a tide of Bloodreavers: tribesfolk, pit-fighters, and broken soldiers who have accepted the Blood God's simplest bargain — kill, and be noticed. Lightly armoured and entirely unafraid, they swarm the enemy in shrieking packs, reaver-blades and meatripper axes doing the work that discipline does in saner armies.
Bloodreavers stand on the lowest rung of Khorne's favour, and they know it. Each dreams of climbing — of catching the Blood God's eye and being remade as something greater — and the only coin that buys ascent is slaughter. It makes them recklessly, hungrily brave, for a Bloodreaver's true terror is not death. It is dying unnoticed.
